I am a Dutch paintress, living in the North of Holland and have used cats as a subject in

(most) of my paintings for more than thirty years.

The live of a painter was clearly my destiny for an endless cascade of ideas flow freely from my imagination.

I love to introduce symbolism and a sense of mysticism in my paintings and strive to impart something of a message in my more mystical paintings. There is also the hope on my part, to inspire you to undergo a bit of a personal journey into the magical realm of your own imagination.

For my paintings mostly oil on canvas or panel are used but I enjoy using acrylic paint for smaller objects also.

For Icons and Icon style paintings I use pigment powder with egg as medium, a technique that is a thousand years old.

My own cats, three Norwegian Forestcats are Royah, Øro and Frey. They are together with my blacksilver Somali Tamaran a continious source of inspiration.

Apart from the "cat paintings" I have also created many different smaller items.
